Club Coffee’s PurPod100 added to the National Zero Waste Council’s Featured Products List

About the National Zero Waste Council Product Features

The National Zero Waste Council has created a portfolio of Canadian products which take the entire lifecycle into account during design. These products are moving us towards a circular economy by minimizing waste. Each featured product has been assessed for its ability to deliver on key principles for waste prevention and systems-thinking. From fashion to furniture, businesses are finding cost-savings, reduced environmental impacts, and increased consumer appeal by designing differently.

“We are honoured to be included in the NZWC Design Portfolio along with many other Canadian forward-thinking businesses who are helping to shape a zero waste circular economy,” said John Pigott, CEO of Club Coffee. “Consumers enjoy the convenience of single serve coffee but want less waste and our PurPod100™ offers them a sustainable alternative.”

Developed and manufactured in Canada, Club Coffee brings consumers the first certified  100% compostable single serve beverage pod  to the market with their PurPod100™. The pods are made out of 89% renewable materials and designed to be composted after use, certified by the Biodegradable Products Institute for large scale municipal and industrial composting facilities. Compared to a traditional single serve pod, the PurPod100™ and residual coffee or tea leaves is designed to be composted altogether.
