THE RESEARCH
BEHIND PURPOD100™

Consumers want a real answer to the waste they associate with single serve drinks. Experts saw Certified 100% Compostable as the answer - a convenient single serve pod for great tasting coffee, tea and other hot beverages.

Researchers got to work to turn that vision into results. They developed PURPOD100™

PARTNERING WITH THE BEST & BRIGHTEST

Partners

The Bioproducts Discovery and Development Centre (BDDC) located at Canada's University of Guelph did key research and innovation. This interdisciplinary centre focuses world-class experts from many fields on projects with commercial applications. It benefits from close ties to industries looking for innovative solutions.

Other partners developed some key components that make PURPOD100™ the #rightsolution – for example, the only compostable mesh of its kind in the world. Experiments identified how to use the thin skin that comes off roasted coffee beans to give the ring on every PURPOD100™ its distinctive brown look.
