In addition to all the great whole bean and ground coffees we make, PURPOD100® (in collaboration with the University of Guelph) developed the world’s first BPI Certified commercially compostable† single serve coffee pod – PURPOD100®.

PURPOD100® commercially compostable† pods are made with plant-based materials. The unique pod design includes a lid, ring and filter that are all certified commercially compostable† by the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI®). In fact, our ring is made partially from recycled coffee chaff (the skins that come off the coffee beans during roasting).

These plant-based single serve pods are all made using commercially compostable† PURPOD100® technology without the plastic waste.
